Sculpey Introductory Workshop with Clayaholics

What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is, as the name implies, a pliable, blendable polymer compound for artists and crafters. It’s not true clay – clay is fine particles of silicate suspended in water, whereas polymer clay is fine particles of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) suspended in plasticizer – but it can be used much like clay.

What materials will be used during the class?
We will use Sculpey Polymer Clay brand during the class. It is made in the U.S. and is a non-toxic material.

How many students will there be in a class?
A maximum of 6 students.

What is the age requirement for the class?
Ages 6 to 10 years old.

Do students need to bring their materials for the workshop?
No need, the materials are all included in the workshop fee already. All you need to do is just get your creative juices working to create unique projects!

What projects will we be doing?
For the April 15 schedule, we will be doing Desserts (Cakes, pastries, pies, ice cream). Please stand by for other exciting projects on Sculpey Introductory Workshops by Clayaholics!

What is the difference of Clayaholics’ Sculpey Introductory Workshop vs Pumpkin Beads’ Beginners Sculpey Polymer Clay Workshop that you have in Shangri-la Build City?
Clayaholics’ is composed of 2 budding entrepreneurs, both in high school, who love nothing more than experimenting with their creativity as their hobby, through the use of polymer clay. Pumpkin Beads has been in the business of polymer clay projects (i.e. give-aways, jewelry designs, etc.) for years.

Where can the students register and pay?
Students can register and pay at Hobbes and Landes Bonifacio High Street.

How to reserve a slot for the workshop?
Students should pay full amount of the workshop fee prior to the workshop date, to secure a slot.

What if a student can’t attend the class on the specified date?
Please inform a Hobbes & Landes staff at least 3 days prior to the workshop
date so that we can inform our Sculpey teachers. You may call 856-0935 should
this kind of problem arise.

What should the students bring on the day of the class?
Kindly bring the RECEIPT AND WIPES (for removing clay residues) on the day of the class.

Here’s Hobbes and Landes’ Pet of the Month theme for May.

Mechanics on how to join.

1. All interested pet parents and pet enthusiasts are welcome to join.

2. A minimum purchase amount of P500.00 from the Petropolis Pavilion of participating Hobbes and Landes branches entitles you and your pet to join the Pet of the Month contest. Each entry should follow a corresponding theme of the month, accompanied by a proof of purchase made within the validity period.

For this month, your receipt should show purchase made from April 23 to May 20, 2012.

3. Every month, Hobbes and Landes will provide a theme which will set the tone of your photo op with your pet. Announcement of each month’s theme will be made via Hobbes & Landes’ Facebook account (‘like’ our page by clicking on the ‘like’ button) as well as posters located in participating branches of Hobbes and Landes.

4. Submit your photos and scanned receipt copy or Official Receipt Number by emailing them to info@hobbesandlandes.com. A confirmation receipt will be sent to you to signify your formal entry into the contest. Your entry will be posted in Hobbes and Landes’ Facebook account and will be ready for voting once posted. Only entries which have been verified via email confirmation, by a Hobbes & Landes representative will be valid. Posts made without prior verification will not be honored.

5. The Criteria for judging will be as follows:

50% – number of likes (Remember to Like Hobbes and Landes first!)
25% – in accordance with the theme of the month
25% – vote from a Hobbes and Landes and/or sponsor representative
100%

6. Announcement of the Pet of the Month winner will be done during Pet Club gatherings held every month.
